Über den Betrieb
Die Atelierwerkstatt der aus Finnland stammende Dipl. Textildesignerin (2016, Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart) besteht seit 2016 und sie befindet sich im Kreativbezirk Stuttgart-West. Nanna wirkt als Kulturschaffende in Museumskooperationen, Textilerbe-Forschung, Technikvermittlung und Ausstellungen mit. Ehrenamtlich engagiert sie sich für die www.lotte-hofmann-stiftung.de und im Team LoHo-FRIENDS. Nanna ist u.a. Mitglied in NTA Nordic Textile Art, BdK Bund der Kunsthandwerker Baden-Württemberg und Taito Crafts Association Finland.

Anna Puolakka, a crafts expert from Tampere/ Finland, is Nanna's visiting guest this year. Anna talks about the importance and role of crafts & design education in Finland. She runs a large weavery at her Taito-center, in addition to managing a wealth of crafts-classes offered to all old and young. Weaving has a long tradition in Finland, Each year a technique is singled out and thoroughly instructed at all Taito-centers across Finland. Come and learn about TAITO and KORINPUNONTA, the 2024-technique! Anna and Nanna give talks and showcase their crafts in a studio-exhibition..

Come also for the two newly opened two felt exhibitions that "decorate" the the fascinating museum-space. Long ago it used to be a church.
Anna (textiles, glas, ceramics) and Nanna (textiles) are thankful for the invitation to join the museum-activities. They each give talks and jointly set up a small exhibition in the museum hall. During ETAK the focus should be and is on hand skills and the human-made. Visitors learn about the the strong role of crafts- and design in the Finnish education system. Today, like yesterday evening, Anna and Nanna warmly welcome visitors in the cozy studio-workshop. Anna, an avid instructor of the various methods of KORINPUNONTA, gives short private workshops (not free of charge). Prior sign-up is not needed; be spontaneous! Anna and Nanna give powerpoint-presentations and exhibit their crafts. Visitors have a unique opportunity to learn about crafts-education and design-teaching in Finland. Anna and Nanna are both keen on dialogue and looking forward to many crafts-enthusiasts. Willkommen - tervetuloa!
